Justin now works out of The Bakery Studio in rural Cheshire. On the edge of Bollington, near Macclesfield, it’s only half an hour from Manchester, yet a relaxing, professional environment that’s perfect for getting the best out of voiceover artists or musicians wanting to write, track solo instruments and mix.
With plenty of natural light, the control room has a stress-free atmosphere and great views of the adjoining countryside. Monitoring is provided by ADAM, Yamaha and Sennheiser. The studio runs Pro Tools and Logic with a full complement of plug-ins and software instruments. It has Focusrite and Audient pre-amps, valve compression, analog tape delay and microphones by AKG, AEA, Calrec, Sennheiser, Earthworks, Audio-Technica, Shure etc. HDMI video monitoring is provided in the vocal booth and control room.
Acoustically, it is perfectly set up for voiceover and ADR, yet the music recording areas also have variable acoustic ambience. The studio boasts a fully weighted 88 note master keyboard controller, upright piano, various guitars, hand drums & other percussion, autoharp, glockenspiel and a range of guitar stomp pedals and amps.
There is ample parking space and it is minutes away from a range of shops, pubs, restaurants and take-aways. With a constant supply of fresh coffee and teas, and the option to arrange residential facilities, The Bakery provides a refreshing, focused workplace for whatever the project.
