From an early age, Justin was fortunate enough to access great teachers in many instruments and styles of music. He has consolidated this musical knowledge through the writing and performing of music from as young as six. However in his professional life, it has been producing and engineering other musicians' work that has taken up all his time and creative energy. But, encouraged by fellow musicians and others from within the music industry, he has made time to complete his debut album "10 Rooms" over the course of the last few years. It combines his skills as a multi-instrumentalist with thoughtful programming, held together by Justin's attentive and musical attitude to production.
The music was written to represent significant places and scenarios in Justin's life. Opting for an artful marriage of acoustic and electronic instrumentation, he has created ten emotionally charged soundscapes that gives the listener a backdrop to play ones own personal films. The album has a theme of organic performances, be it Justin's accomplished classical guitar playing or his highly acoustic piano sound on "Floorboards That Sing" or the fact that he teamed up with Lee Mullen (Happy Mondays/George Michael) to add inspired percussion to several tracks. It also has been put together with the now rare concept of a whole album that takes the listener on a journey from start to finish.
The writing of these cinematic instrumentals has added to his growing portfolio of existing work for film & TV and has generated interest and collaborations with US radio stations, music supervisors and publishing companies alike.
